Menteri Puan Maharani: Bisnis Spa Harus Diperlihatkan Kwalitas dengan Baik

JAKARTA – Potensi industri spa di Indonesia diyakini sangat besar. Dari industri tourism inilah pula akan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan rakyat melalui penciptaan wirausaha baru.

Demikian disampaikan Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (PMK) Puan Maharani dalam keterangan tertulis yang dirilis Kementerian Pariwisata, Selasa (10/09/2019).

Disampaikan pula bahwa Menko Puan, memberikan sambutan pada malam anugerah “Spa & Wellness Tourism Award dan Pemilihan Duta Pariwisata Spa Indonesia 2019 tingkat Nasional” di Jakarta, Senin (09/09/2019).

Menurut Puan, kekayaan alam untuk mendukung industri spa di Indonesia harus diperhatikan kualitasnya dengan baik. Selain juga mesti diimbangi dengan penyediaan produk yang sehat dan bermanfaat, sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang terampil, serta kode etik profesi yang profesional. 

Puan mengatakan, pembinaan kode etik profesi merupakan hal yang penting agar kualitas dalam aspek perawatan kesehatan dapat terjaga dengan baik.

“Organisasi profesi dapat mengambil peran dalam rangka pembinaan pengawasan dan evaluasi pelaksanaan kode etik profesi ini. Dan sebagai bentuk dukungan dalam industri spa, pemerintah telah memberikan pendampingan pembinaan dan pelatihan baik bagi organisasi profesi maupun industri,” katanya.

Spa bukan hal baru di Indonesia dan sejak dahulu digunakan sebagai sistem penataan kesehatan warisan leluhur yang dilakukan menggunakan media air dan didukung pijat serta aroma terapi dari bahan alami.

“Dari zaman dahulu masyarakat Indonesia menyukai mandi air yang mengandung mineral atau belerang. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan banyaknya masyarakat yang mendatangi pegunungan untuk menikmati pemandian sumber air panas yang diyakini mempunyai daya penyembuhan, mampu meningkatkan kesehatan fisik, menjaga kecantikan, dan menjaga kebugaran tubuh,” katanya.

Ia mengatakan, spa juga telah menjadi tren, bukan hanya kalangan selebritas, tetapi juga kalangan eksekutif, pelaku bisnis, dan siapa saja yang ingin merasakan perawatan dengan rileks dan santai.  

Pada kesempatan yang sama hadir Menteri Pariwisata Arief Yahya serta Menteri Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Yohana Yembise. Menteri Pariwisata Arief Yahya mengatakan pihaknya akan terus berupaya untuk meningkatkan SDM di industri spa, salah satunya dengan melakukan sertifikasi kompetensi.

“Kelemahan kita ada di sertifikasi, Kemenpar bersama komunitas telah melakukan sertifikasi. Pada 2018 sampai 2019, sebanyak sebelas ribu orang telah memiliki sertifikasi kompetensi di bidang spa,” paparnya.

Menpar menjelaskan pemerintah melalui Kementerian Pariwisata bersama dengan komunitas memfasilitasi sertifikasi para terapis spa sebagai upaya untuk memberikan pengakuan atas kompetensi profesi yang dimiliki tenaga kerja di bidang spa untuk memahami pentingnya profesional dan legalitas. Menurutnya, terapis asal Indonesia telah masuk lima besar terbaik dunia.  

SPA & Wellness Tourism sebagai salah satu kategori yang dikembangkan dalam wisata kesehatan adalah pariwisata yang dikembangkan untuk tujuan kesehatan, baik untuk tujuan pencegahan, pengobatan, dan pemeliharaan, dilengkapi dengan fasilitas dan layanan untuk mendukung terwujudnya pengalaman wisata kesehatan yang berkualitas.
