[Cek Fakta]: HM Sampoerna akan Musnahkan Prodak Rokok Karena Terpapar COVID-19?

ifakta.co, Jakarta – Sebuah pesan berantai yang menyebut produk-produk HM Sampoerna seperti Sampoerna Mild, Sampoerna kretek, dan Magnum akan dimusnahkan karena terpapar virus penyebab COVID-19 beredar di media jejaring sosial.

Pesan tersebut muncul setelah terkait informasi 500 karyawan HM Sampoerna yang diduga terpapar COVID-19 dan dua diantaranya meninggal.

Dalam pesan yang beredar di aplikasi WhatsApp, tertaut pula berita dari Suara.com dengan judul “500 Karyawan HM Sampoerna Diduga Terpapar Corona, 2 Meninggal”. Berita itu ditayangkan pada 30 April 2020. 

Berikut narasi yang disampaikan dalam pesan yang beredar tersebut:

“Pengeluaran rokok ekspedisi tgl 25 maret 2020 sampe 30 april 2020 akan ditarik pihak terkait untuk dimusnahkan, diantaranya product hm.sampoerna : djisamsoe, sampoerna mild, sampoerna keretek, magnum.”

Namun, benarkah HM Sampoerna akan menarik dan memusnahkan produk-produk mereka terkait 500 karyawan yang meninggal akibat COVID-19?

Penjelasan:

Di dalam berita yang disematkan oleh pesan tersebut tidak ada satu pun informasi yang menyebutkan pihak Sampoerna akan menarik semua produk-produk mereka untuk dimusnahkan.

Berita tersebut berisi tentang ratusan karyawan PT HM Sampoerna Rungkut yang diduga terpapar COVID-19. Di antara ratusan karyawan tersebut, sebanyak 100 orang telah diisolasi dan menjalani rapid test dengan hasil positif. 

Direktur PT HM Sampoerna Elvira Lianita mengatakan tidak benar adanya penarikan produk-produk HM Sampoerna untuk dimusnahkan. 

Elvira, sebagaimana tercantum dalam berita ANTARA, mengatakan sejak ada dua karyawan yang dinyatakan positif COVID-19, perusahannya telah menghentikan aktivitas di pabrik Rungkut 2 pada 27 April 2020.

Elvira mengatakan pihaknya telah melakukan karantina produk selama lima hari sebelum akhirnya didistribusikan ke konsumen, atau dua hari lebih lama dari batas atas stabilitas lingkungan COVID-19 yang disarankan oleh European CDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) dan juga World Health Organization (WHO).

Saran dua organisasi dunia itu terkait virus penyebab COVID-19 dapat bertahan selama 72 jam pada permukaan plastik dan stainless steel, kurang dari 4 jam pada tembaga dan kurang dari 24 jam pada kardus.

Dalam berita lain ANTARA, Elvira mengatakan perusahaannya telah melakukan penyemportan disinfektan di seluruh fasilitas pabrik, melakukan penelusuran kontak, meminta karyawannya melakukan tes COVID-19 dan melakukan karantina mandiri.
